Our Heat-Reactive Color Changing Masks

Our one-of-a-kind, custom color-changing gaiters are made with heat-reactive hyper-color fabric.

The funky, fun gaiter changes color with your body heat, breath, or for an extra effect you can make it change color with your handprint.  Once it cools down it changes back to the original color.

The 1986 gaiter has no problem staying in place because you can tighten as you wish by using the drawcord on the back when you are working outside, running, jogging, skiing/snowboarding, cycling, biking, riding, motorcycling, fishing, hiking, camping, trekking, hunting, yoga, mountain climbing, traveling and doing any other kinds of outdoor sports.

The gaiter also comes equipped with a front side zippered pocket where you can store credit cards, your ID, or cash.

Double layers for Covid-19 protection.

Our 1986 gaiters have two layers of breathable Cotton fabric protection.

Face masks have become an everyday accessory amid the pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues to remind people to wear them in public and recommends choosing a mask with at least two layers of breathable fabric.

SMALL AMERICAN FAMILY BUSINESS.

1986 is a family-owned business situated in the rocky valley of the Saint Croix River. Steeped in Midwest values and nostalgic for the decade that brought bold style, colors, silhouettes, and heaping amounts of permed hair. With trends spanning from ripped tights and biker jackets to polished oversized blazers and poof skirts, it was one of the most eclectic decades in fashion. And like it or not, it’s back in full force.
